Cover Art, Layout Design // Worker’s Compensation Guide

Arise Chicago is a worker’s advocacy group that builds partnerships between workers and faith communities to fight workplace injustice through education, organizing, and advocating for public policy changes. For this Life After Workplace Injury guide, I designed the layout to open on the Spanish text for half of the publication, and then when flipped upside down to open on the English text, so that the booklet might be approachable and less culturally biased. I illustrated the cover graphic to represent graceful broken bodies, drawing from an icon within the Arise sub-branding. I used custom typography to communicate the struggle. I enjoy creating new symbols and communication pieces that seamlessly speak from an existing brand entity.
